A RP2040 game - Biking with friends
My tiny fantasy game console (if one can call it that) has a feature that let's it run while USB is plugged in, and it also runs from a battery. While testing that out, I found out that the battery charging IC isn't properly in place. JLCPCB made a mistake and put the IC in the wrong rotation. I quickly checked the other boards, and only this board that I was using for debugging was defective. Bummer; but at least most boards are fine. So I tried to fix the SMD placement by hand, and suffice to say, it was a disaster.
So I decided instead of testing the battery charging capabilities, might as well bring the game that I was building as a companion software to the board, into a playable state.
So I added multiple friend-characters, drew the bike icons, changed the background and now it looks kinda cute!
Wondering I should write the next game in Zig. Last time I tried Zig with the RP2040 it did work out quite well.
